Suzanne Blech has been named president of Screen Media Films, the company announced Thursday.
Blech has been with the indie distributor for nine years, overseeing acquisitions.
She has previously worked at USA, New Line, Turner, Warner/Elektra/Atlantic and LIVE.
In her new post, Blech will oversee the fall theatrical releases of the dark comedy “The Lie," the French action thriller “L’Assault,” and the documentary “Jig."
Blech succeeds Robert Baruc. The company said he is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
