Ratings: ‘SWAT’ Drops CBS Into Demo Tie With ABC

“S.W.A.T.” wasn’t special on Wednesday night, nor did CBS’ scheduling tactics pay off. Those are jokes about the show’s “Special Weapons and Tactics” title acronym.

Now that puns are out of the way, NBC finished first in ratings last night with a 1.0 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 7.8 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Chicago Med” at 8 p.m. had a 1.1/5 and 8.4 million viewers. At 9, “Chicago Fire” got a 1.1/5 and 8.1 million viewers. “Chicago P.D.” at 10 received a 1.0/5 and 6.9 million viewers.

CBS and ABC tied for second in ratings, both with a 0.6/3. CBS was second in total viewers with 4.1 million, ABC was third with 3 million.

For CBS, “Undercover Boss” at 8 had a 0.7/3 and 4.4 million viewers. At 9, “Criminal Minds” got a 0.7/3 and 4.5 million viewers. The 10 o’clock “S.W.A.T.” declined week to week to a 0.5/3 and 3.4 million viewers.

For ABC, “The Goldbergs” at 8 had a 0.8/4 and 4.1 million viewers. At 8:30, “Schooled” got a 0.7/3 and 3 million viewers. “Modern Family” at 9 received a 0.8/4 and 3.5 million viewers. “Single Parents” at 9:30 closed out the comedy block with a 0.6/3 and 2.5 million viewers. “Stumptown” at 10 managed a 0.4/2 and 2.4 million viewers.

Univision was fourth in ratings with a 0.5/3 and fifth in viewers with 1.6 million.

Fox and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.4/2. Fox was fourth in total viewers with 2 million, airing all reruns. Telemundo was sixth in total viewers with 1.1 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 689,000. “Riverdale” at 8 had a 0.2/1 and 824,000 viewers. At 9, “Nancy Drew” settled for a 0.1/1 and 553,000 viewers.
