‘Swords’ Gets Second Season

The Discovery Channel series centers on New England long line fishermen.

"Swords: Life on the Line," a documentary series about the lives of New England’s long line fisherman, will return for a second season, The Discovery Channel announced Friday. Produced by Original Productions, a FremantleMedia company, and BermanBraun, the second season of "Swords" is slated to premiere early next year.

"’Swords’ is a potent mix of unbelievable footage and unforgettable characters,” said John Ford, president and general manager of The Discovery Channel. “The show captures the grit, guts and humor its takes for these men and women to conquer the high seas and high stakes of sword fishing,” said Ford.
