‘Tacoma FD’: Lucy Joins the Firehouse and Promises Not to ‘Bust Up the Sausage Party’ (Exclusive Video)

Chief McConky’s daughter is ready to become part of their “pranky little fart club”

There’s a new guy in the “Tacoma FD” firehouse — err, girl. But this lady is ready to become one of the guys.

In a clip from next Thursday’s episode of the new truTV comedy — which is exclusive to TheWrap — Chief Terry McConky’s (Kevin Heffernan) daughter, Lucy (Hassie Harrison), drops into the station to let the gang know she’s joining their “pranky little fart club” and becoming a firefighter herself.

Yes, she knows they might be worried she is gonna “bust up the sausage party” — but Lucy promises she’s not about that. In fact, this girl is more than happy to go toe-to-toe with the boys — including her father and uncle, Captain Eddie Penisi (Steve Lemme).

“Tacoma FD” started off on fire among millennials. The series debuted as the most-watched new cable comedy series premiere of the season among adults 18-34, tallying 312,000 with three days of delayed viewing. “Tacoma” premiered as the third most-watched new cable comedy series among the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demo and in terms of total viewers, with 598,000 and 850,000 audience members, respectively.

We checked, those rankings are out of 20 new cable comedies thus far this season.

When counting all platforms, “Tacoma FD” has been truTV’s biggest launch in more than four years.

Created by and starring Heffernan and Lemme from the “Super Troopers” film franchise, “Tacoma FD” is a new half-hour comedy set in a firehouse in one of America’s rainiest cities. Light on blazes that need extinguishing, these firefighters keep themselves entertained with creative competitions, friendly first responder rivalries and no shortage of bizarre emergency calls. Leading the firehouse shenanigans are Chief Terry McConky (Heffernan) and Captain Eddie Penisi (Lemme), who are joined by an eclectic crew played by Eugene Cordero (Andy), Marcus Henderson (Granny), Gabriel Hogan (Ike) and Harrison (Lucy) for the 10-episode first season.

“Tacoma FD” is co-created and executive produced by Heffernan and Lemme alongside David Miner and Greg Walter from 3 Arts Entertainment and Kyle Clark from  Silverscreen Pictures.

New episodes of “Tacoma FD” air Thursdays at 10:30/9:30c on truTV.
