Tahra Grant is joining Sony Pictures Entertainment as a Vice President in Corporate Communications, TheWrap has learned.
Grant will report to Sony Pictures Entertainment Chief of Communications Robert Lawson. Grant and Lawson previously worked together on various clients and projects while Lawson was at Rubenstein Communications, where Grant served as VP in the New York City office’s entertainment practice until recently.
At Rubenstein, Grant handled corporate communications for clients such as Tribeca Enterprises/The Tribeca Film Festival, The Metropolitan Opera, and The Orchard; and led campaigns for film and television titles such as The Hunger Games franchise, Steven Soderbergh‘s “The Girlfriend Experience,” and Jane Campion‘s “Top of the Lake.”
She also ran festival and stakeholder campaigns for projects such as Participant Media’s “Beasts of No Nation” and “Spotlight,” Darren Aronofsky‘s “Noah,” and “The Divergent Series: Insurgent.”
“I’ve worked with Tahra for years,” Lawson said in a statement. “She is an excellent communications executive and we are thrilled to have her at SPE as we roll out an exciting new slate of films this fall.”
