‘Tanked’ Canceled by Animal Planet After 15 Seasons

“Series came to a natural end late last year,” rep tells TheWrap

Animal Planet has canceled “Tanked” after 15 seasons, a rep for the cable channel tells TheWrap.

“After 15 fantastic seasons the series came to a natural end late last year,” an Animal Planet spokesman told TheWrap.

Though news of the show’s cancellation only recently became public, the series’ co-star Brett Raymer told the local Las Vegas Fox station that Animal Planet shuttered the program back on Dec. 20.

Raymer said the “show will go on,” and that he and “Tanked” co-star Wayde King hope to start a YouTube show, “Lifestyles of the Fish and Famous, to promote their Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ATM) business. ATM takes on more than 200 projects every year with tanks ranging from 50 to 1 million gallons in size.

On “Tanked,” King and Raymer built custom aquariums for Tracy Morgan, Shaquille O’Neal, Howie Mandel and other actors, athletes and businesspeople.

King’s wife Heather, who is Raymer’s sister, was arrested March 6 on domestic violence charges in Las Vegas, according to TMZ. She filed for divorce from King two days later.

“Tanked” was produced for Animal Planet by Nancy Glass Productions. Nancy Glass, Eric Neuhaus and Matt Carter are the executive producers for Nancy Glass Productions, and Pat Dempsey is the Producer for Animal Planet. The series was developed by Animal Planet’s Charlie Foley.
