‘Robin Hood’ Taron Egerton Just Alleviated Any Concerns He Can’t Do Elton John Live (Video)

“Kingsman” star slays “Your Song” ahead of playing the “Rocketman” in Dexter Fletcher film

It’s a little bit funny, how talented Taron Egerton is. The actor behind “Eddie the Eagle” and “Robin Hood” just sang Elton John live and killed it. Oh, and he did it early in the morning.

Later on in a visit to Eminem’s SiriusXM channel Shade 45, Egerton and his “Robin Hood” co-star Jamie Foxx did their best to freestyle a theme song for their new movie. That performance wasn’t quite as successful.

Watch their appearance on “Sway in the Morning” via the video above. The “Your Song” stuff is at the 9:50 mark. The “Robin Hood” freestyle came at 18:45.

Interestingly enough, some of the best “Sway” musical moments as of late have come from Hollywood stars and not from regular music artists. Click the “Also Read” above to see “Wreck-It Ralph” himself John C. Reilly rapping a little old-school hip-hop — you won’t regret it.

Sway Calloway hosts “Sway in the Morning” daily from 8 a.m. ET to noon ET on Shade 45. This version of “Robin Hood” reaches theaters next Wednesday.

Egerton’s “Rocketman” has a May 17 release date.
