Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ Breaks Record for Most Views on Lyric Video in 24 Hours

Lyric video is also trending at spot number one on YouTube

Taylor Swift is breaking records again, this time with her “Look What You Made Me Do” becoming the lyric video with the most views in 24 hours.

The lyric video is now at almost 26 million views and counting. The record was previously held by The Chainsmokers’ “Something Just Like This” ft. Coldplay, which had 9 million views.

“Look What You Made Me Do” is also currently the number one trending video on YouTube and has reached over 19 million views in just 24 hours. This is Swift’s biggest YouTube debut, surpassing her previous record debut of 17 million views for “Bad Blood.”

Swift released her new single on Thursday after she revealed her new album, “Reputation,” would drop on Nov. 10. Her music video will drop during the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

Last week, Swift blacked out her entire social media presence as well as her website, fueling many fans’ thoughts that she was about to release new material. Before long, the hashtag #TS6IsComing shot onto the Twitter trends chart, as Swifties theorized about a new release from the “1989” singer. Turns out they were right.
