Fox’s “Teen Choice Awards” dropped to an all-time low in both the key adults 18-49 demographic and total viewers on Sunday, pulling the broadcaster behind the Spanish-language networks in the primetime rankings for the evening, according to preliminary numbers.
From 8-10 p.m., the Lucy Hale and David Dobrik-hosted “2019 Teen Choice Awards” averaged a 0.2 rating and 721,000 viewers. That’s down 50% in the demo and 28% in viewers from the 2018 show, which put up the younger-skewing award ceremony’s previous low: a 0.4 rating and 1 million viewers.
These numbers put Fox ahead of only The CW in last night’s Nielsen race among the broadcast nets, including Telemundo and Univision.
