Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson Bring The Drama in Fox’s ‘Empire’ Preview (Video)

The show follows a family dynasty, set within a world of glamour, danger, sex and power

Here’s a look at the dynamic new promo out for the new drama “Empire.” From the looks of the trailer, there’s going to be a lot of juicy drama as fame and family collide.

The Fox  show is coming to you from producers Brian Grazer (“A Beautiful Mind:), Lee Daniels (“Lee Daniels‘ The Butler,” “Precious”) and Danny Strong (“Game Change”). The drama, set in the world of a hip-hop empire, follows family dynasty that functions within a world of glamour, danger, sex and power. The cast includes Terrence Howard (“Crash”) and Taraji P. Henson (“Person of Interest”) with music by Timbaland.

In this promo, which initially aired after the third game of the World Series on Friday, Howard’s character tells us how music saved his life. Henson looks fabulous in her over the top furs as a character who was just released from prison and is looking for her share of a fortune.

“Empire” is executive-produced by Daniels, Strong, Grazer, Ilene Chaiken (“The L Word”) and Francie Calfo (“Those Who Kill,” “Gang Related”). The show will debut in Jan. 2015.
