Terry O’Quinn Lands Another Grueling Acting Gig in Hawaii

Recurring role on CBS’ cop-drama revamp will also reunite him with “Lost” castmate Daniel Dae Kim.

John Locke is coming back to the Aloha State.

"Lost" alum Terry O'Quinn, who played Locke on the series, has landed a major recurring role on CBS's revamp of "Hawaii 5-0" — which, like "Lost," is filmed in Hawaii. (In case the series' title didn't give it away.)

An individual close to the show confirms to TheWrap that O'Quinn will play a Lt. Commander in the Navy SEALS who trained Steve McGarrett (played by Alex O'Loughlin) and served with McGarrett's father in the Vietnam war.

Though it's not known how many episodes O'Quinn is slated for, his character will play a pivotal role, in that he holds information about the question-plagued murders of McGarrett's parents.

In addition to giving O'Quinn yet another gig in a tropical locale, the "Hawaii 5-0" stint will reunite the actor with fellow "Lost" alum Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Chin Ho Kelly on the series.

O'Quinn recently had a starring role in the ABC pilot "Hallelujah," about a Tennessee town that's torn between the forces of good and evil, but the pilot was not picked up.
