The original “6ixtynin9” is a fish-out-of-water story, which follows a young woman from a financial corporation comes home after being fired from her job. As she slams the door of her apartment in frustration, the screws fall out of the number six and turn into the number nine, causing a case of mistaken identity, involving the most dangerous gangsters in the city.

The Torpedo label is a joint venture between Submarine and producer Stanley Buchthal (“Hairspray”). It was launched in Cannes in May.

The company is looking to make three to four low-to-mid budget genre projects per year.
