‘The 9th Life of Louis Drax’ Trailer Features Suspicious Aaron Paul, Jamie Dornan as Doctor (Video)

Summit will release thriller on September 2

“Fifty Shades of Grey” star Jamie Dornan and “Breaking Bad” alum Aaron Paul feature prominently in the new trailer for the thriller for “The 9th Life of Louis Drax,” released Monday.

Alexandre Aja directs the movie, from a script by actor-producer Max Minghella and based on Liz Jensen’s novel of the same name.

The movie follows the Drax household, which seems to be the picture perfect carefree all-American family until young Louis Drax (Aiden Longworth) falls off a steep cliff during a picnic on his 9th birthday.

The boy miraculously survives the fall, but he’s in a coma. As the boy is laying in his hospital bed with a dozen wires attached to his head, there seems to be a supernatural presence in the background.

There’s more to this film than first meets the eye.

But news outlets report that the Drax boy was intentionally pushed off the cliff. His mother, played by Sarah Gadon, opens up to Dr. Allan Pascal (Jamie Dornan), and suggests that his father (Aaron Paul) became a little violent during the picnic.

The film, which also stars Oliver Platt, Molly Parker, Barbara Hershey, is produced by Aha, Minghella, Tim Bricknell and Shawn Williamson.

The thriller will hit theaters on September 2.
