‘The Good Place’ Gets Third Season at NBC

Comedy starring Ted Danson and Kristen Bell lands 13-episode new run

The Good Place” continues to head in the right direction.

NBC has picked up the comedy series for a 13-episode third season, the network announced on Tuesday.

The Mike Schur-created show that stars Ted Danson and Kristen Bell is currently airing its second season. William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto and D’Arcy Carden round out the cast.

This season, “The Good Place” is nabbing a 2.0 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.2 million total viewers in live-plus-seven averages.

The series hails from Universal Television, Fremulon and 3 Arts Entertainment. Schur, David Miner, Morgan Sackett and Drew Goddard executive produce.

“The Good Place” returns with its winter premiere Thursday, Jan. 4, at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.
