Monique Chenault has been promoted to executive producer of “The Insider.”

The producer joined the celebrity news show in April as Brad Bessey was made executive producer over both “ET” and “The Insider.”

“In Monique’s short time with the show, she has demonstrated leadership, creativity and an ability to attract top-tier talent,” Bessey said in a statement. “She has a clear vision for the future of ‘The Insider,’ and I’m excited to see it come to life.”

Chenault joined from BET where she was the executive producer of numerous specials for the network, as well as several series for TV One through Macvision, including the hour-long interview show “TV One on One With Cathy Hughes” and “Black Men Revealed,” a weekly, one-hour, talk-reality series that focused on relationships, cultural issues and politics from a black male’s perspective.

Previously, she worked at “Access Hollywood” as a senior producer. During her time there, Chenault created and launched the spinoff “TV One Access” – a one-hour newsmagazine focusing on news and entertainment, pop culture and issues important to black viewers – for the TV One network. She also served as a supervising producer and showrunner for the weekend edition of “Access Hollywood.”
