‘The Killing’ Reviews Its Chilling Past Before New Season Premiere (Video)

Netflix looks back on the series before its final season launches

In case you’ve wiped your brain of “The Killing,” Netflix is recapping the plot ahead of the premiere of its fourth and final season. The trailer highlights major events from the first three seasons of the show in hopes to hook new viewers.

“The Killing” is an American adaptation of the hit Danish series “Forbrydelsen.” It stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman as detectives investigating the brutal murder of a teenage girl in Seattle. The first two seasons detail the investigation of the same case, while the third leaps forward a year and deals with the subsequent discovery of a string of connected killings.

The series was initially produced by AMC in 2012, however the show was canceled after three seasons on the air. Netflix purchased “The Killing” from Fox Television Studios in order to produce the fourth and final installment of the series.
