“The Killing’s” Mireille Enos is taking her investigative prowess to Shondaland.
The actress will star on ABC’s new drama pilot “The Catch,” a thriller about an engaged woman on the brink of being conned by her fiance. But the tables are turned on him after it’s revealed that she’s actually a fraud investigator, and a high-stakes game of cat and mouse ensues.
Enos plays Alice on the project, adapted from a Kate Atkinson novel. The character is described as a spunky and competent lady who isn’t quite comfortable marrying Kieran. She has also dedicated her life to her job as a forensic accountant in Chicago.
Enos starred for four seasons on AMC/Netflix’s “The Killing,” earning a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination as Seattle detective Sarah Linden. Prior to that, she was on HBO’s “Big Love.” On the big screen, she has starred alongside Brad Pitt on the zombie thriller “World War Z” and opposite Chloe Grace Moretz in “If I Stay.”
CAA, Gartner/Green Entertainment and Stone, Meyer, Genow, Smelkinson and Binder represent her.
Jennifer Schur (“Hannibal) is writing the script for “The Catch” for ABC Studios and will serve as an executive producer along with Shondaland’s Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. JulieAnne Robinson is executive producing and directing the pilot. Helen Gregory and Atkinson are co-executive producers.
