‘The Masked Singer’: Ken Jeong Auditions for ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ on Andrew Lloyd Webber Night (Exclusive Video)

Jeong put on his best performance for the English composer, who is a guest judge for Wednesday night’s episode

Ken Jeong is really getting into character for Andrew Lloyd Webber night on “The Masked Singer.”

In an exclusive clip shared with TheWrap ahead of Wednesday night’s episode, the judge takes the stage to audition for “The Phantom of the Opera” in front of the English composer himself. He even dressed in costume for the occasion, with the iconic white masquerade mask and a black cape.

While he his performance begins on a “delicate” note, as fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger puts it, he quickly devolves into rapping the lyrics — and changing up quite a few words.

“No, no, no,” Webber says, before host Nick Cannon shuts down the performance, telling Jeong: “Can you stop embarrassing yourself in front of Andrew Lloyd Webber?”

But Robin Thicke quickly chimes in that he thought Jeong’s audition was “some of the best acting [he’s] ever done.”

Cannon isn’t having it though, joking that Jeong should escort Webber to his seat before escorting himself “out of the building.”

You can watch the entire clip above ahead of Wednesday night’s show. Two new celebrity singers are entering the competition this week, when all the contestants will perform songs from Webber’s music catalog from “The Phantom of the Opera” to “Jesus Christ Superstar.”

“The Masked Singer” airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
