‘The Masked Singer’: Ken Jeong Takes a Clue About The Mummies a Bit Too Literally (Exclusive Video)

Could The Mummies be the Lawrence brothers?

“The Masked Singer” judge Ken Jeong thinks he’s got it all figured out!

In a clip shared exclusively with TheWrap, Jeong is back at it with a hilarious guess about the identity of The Mummies during Wednesday night’s episode. After a clue uses the phrase “whoa,” he decides to use it a bit more literally than it was likely meant to be taken.

“I think this is designed to be, like my comedy, on the nose,” Jeong says. “These guys are the Lawrence brothers — Joey Lawrence, Matthew Lawrence…and the third brother, you know, Martin Lawrence!”

“Whoa!” is Joey’s famous catchphrase, but Martin is, of course, not the third Lawrence brother. That would be Andrew. While host Nick Cannon and fellow judge Robin Thicke were quick to shoot down the guess, Jeong remained convinced.

“They are family! Martin Lawrence hangs out with Joey and Matthew all the time!” he says.

You can watch the entire clip above ahead of tonight’s show. It’s TV Theme Night on Episode 3 of “The Masked Singer,” which promises to be full of nostalgia as two new celebrity singers enter the competition and perform iconic theme songs from TV shows throughout history.

The two new contestants will have to go up against Harp, who is the reigning Queen after making her way to the top of the competition two weeks in a row.

“The Masked Singer” airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
