‘The Masked Singer’ Reveals Another Celebrity Masked Singer: And The Panda Is… (Video)

TBD on the identities of 13 more contestants

(Warning: This post contains spoilers for Wednesday’s episode of “The Masked Singer.”)

Fox’s oddball, smash-hit celebrity singing competition “The Masked Singer” revealed the identity of another masked contestant at the end of Wednesday’s episode: The Panda.

Tonight, the four Season 2 contestants who are part of “Group C” competed, with The Panda going up against The Flamingo and The Black Widow facing off with The Leopard. Then Panda and Leopard — the two bottom contestants in their respective rounds — faced off in a “smackdown” battle.

After the singers performed, it was time for panelists Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke, along with the studio audience, to choose who was the “weakest” performer.

They picked Panda, who was unmasked and turned out to be former professional boxer Laila Ali, the daughter of the late Muhammad Ali. Despite ruling the boxing ring, Ali told TheWrap she was not “super confident” with her singing voice and wanted to push herself by competing on “The Masked Singer.”

Last week, Groups A & B kicked things off with performances by The Egg, The Butterfly, Thingamajig, The Skeleton, The Rotteweiler, The Ladybug, The Tree and The Ice Cream, with Egg and Ice Cream being the ones who were eliminated and unmasked at the end of the two-hour premiere. The four Season 2 contestants we’ve yet to see compete are  The Penguin, The Fox, The Eagle, and The Flower.

According to Fox, “collectively, all of the Season Two undercover celebrities have amassed 69 Emmy Award nominations, 42 Grammy Award nominations, 22 Broadway shows, three New York Times best-sellers and two have been named Time magazine’s Most Influential People.”

“The Masked Singer” airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Fox.
