We wish we had Terrence Cunningham on a cloudy day.
“The Voice” contestant blew away coaches Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys Tuesday night during blind auditions with his honey-sweet rendition of The Temptation’s “My Girl.” Cunningham’s performance was so impressive it grabbed a buzzer nod from all four judges in under 30 seconds.
Each coach took turns gushing over the Season 14 contestant, while vying for the right to call him their own.
“I’ve never heard a performance like that at any level of ‘The Voice,'” Shelton said. Keys did him one better, saying to Cunningham, “If I ever did anything right, it was come to this show only to meet you.” Ya, it’s hard to top that which may be why Cunningham ultimately chose the songstress to be his guide on the NBC competition series.
But, at least Shelton — and the rest of us — can probably rely on the fact Cunningham will be sticking around to make us feel “this way” for a good chunk of the season.
Watch Cunningham above and allow your troubles to melt away.
