Beware of mild spoilers for “The Walking Dead” Season 8.
Get ready to see a whole lot more zombie in the second half of Season 8 on “The Walking Dead” — perhaps more than you want to see.
“There’s an episode where we did our first fully nude walker. We’ve never done that before,” executive producer Greg Nicotero told Entertainment Weekly.
Nicotero didn’t specify the zombie’s gender or whether the shot will be full-frontal or not, but we’re not expecting it to be pretty.
Could the naked zombie be a compromise for star Andrew Lincoln? He’s said before that he’d love to do a scene in which Rick Grimes is fully nude.
“I got to wrestle in boxer shorts all day. It was a really fun fight,” Lincoln said in a behind-the-scenes video of his fight in Jadis’ trash heap.
“I was desperate to be naked. But they wouldn’t let me be naked! I said, ‘One take,’ I said, ‘Please, with just the cowboy boots. Let’s do that.’ And for some reason, AMC weren’t completely comfortable,” he said.
“Surely Michonne [Danai Gurira] comes to save Rick and sees him naked and he says, ‘It’s not what it looks like!’” he said (if you’re behind, Michonne and Rick are romantically involved). “I wanted that scene!”
“The Walking Dead” returns to AMC on Feb. 25.
