Hulu original “This Fool” has been renewed for a second season consisting of 10 episodes.

The entire first season of the half-hour comedy debuted on Aug. 12 to both audience and critical favor, currently holding a 100% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.

“This Fool” is billed as an irreverent comedy set in working-class South Central Los Angeles, following 30-year-old Julio Lopez (Chris Estrada), who still lives at home. While navigating an on-and-off relationship with his high school sweetheart and avoiding his personal problems, he works at Hugs Not Thugs, a gang rehabilitation nonprofit, where he often butts heads with his older cousin Luis (Frankie Quiñones), an ex-gang member who was recently released from prison and has moved in with Julio and his family.

Laura Patalano, Michelle Ortiz, Julia Vera and Michael Imperioli also star in Season 1. The series, which hails from ABC Signature, is written and executive produced by Estrada, along with Pat Bishop, Jake Weisman and Matt Ingebretson. Jonathan Groff and Fred Armisen are also EPs.

“This Fool” is among a number of standout series for Hulu Originals’ expanding slate, which includes “Only Murders in the Building,” “The Great” and upcoming series like “The Other Black Girl” and “History of the World Part II.”
