“This Is Us” bounced back a bit from last week’s series low by airing Beth’s (Susan Kelechi Watson) backstory episode. Led by its Pearson family drama and “Ellen’s Game of Games,” NBC won another Tuesday primetime in the key demo.
With “NCIS” and “FBI” leading the way, CBS was No. 1 again in total viewers.
NBC was first in ratings with a 1.4 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 6.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Ellen’s Game of Games” at 8 p.m. put up a 1.4/6 and 6.1 million viewers. At 9, “This Is Us” posted a 1.8/7 and 7.6 million viewers. “New Amsterdam” at 10 had a 1.0/5 and 5.6 million viewers.
CBS was second in ratings with a 1.0/4 and first in viewers with 9.6 million. “NCIS” at 8 landed a 1.2/5 and 12.7 million viewers. “FBI” at 9 received a 0.9/4 and 9 million viewers. At 10, “NCIS: New Orleans” got a 0.8/4 and 7 million viewers.
ABC was third in ratings with a 0.7/3 and in viewers with 3.4 million. “American Housewife” at 8 had a 0.9/4 and 4.4 million viewers. At 8:30, “The Kids Are Alright” got a 0.7/3 and 3.4 million viewers. “Black-ish” at 9 received a 0.7/3 and 2.9 million viewers. At 9:30, “Splitting Up Together” closed out the comedy block with a 0.6/2 and 2.4 million viewers. “The Rookie” at 10 finished off actual primetime to a 0.6/3 and 3.5 million viewers.
Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.6/3 and in viewers with 2.4 million. “Lethal Weapon” at 8 had a 0.8/3 and 3.3 million viewers. At 9, “The Gifted” got a 0.5/2 and 1.6 million viewers.
Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.6 million.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.1 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 657,000, airing all reruns.
