Ratings: ‘This Is Us’ Fall Finale Grows, ‘The Conners’ Holds Steady

CBS’ annual “Rudolph” special beats “The Voice” results show in key demo

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” had a very shiny performance on Tuesday, but the annual CBS airing didn’t glow bright enough to overthrow “This Is Us.”

Led by its “Voice” results show and the fall finale of the Pearson Family drama, NBC topped Tuesday outright. CBS was runner-up despite technically airing no original programming in primetime.

Kicked off by “The Conners,” ABC ended up in third place.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.6 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.2 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. posted a 1.5/6 and 9.5 million viewers. At 9, “This Is Us” scored a 2.0/8 and 8.9 million viewers. The “New Amsterdam” fall finale at 10 had a 1.1/5 and 6.3 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 1.0/4 and in viewers with 6.6 million. “Rudolph” at 8 landed a 1.7/7 and 8.1 million viewers. Repeats followed.

ABC was third in ratings with a 0.9/4 and in viewers with 4.5 million. “The Conners” at 8 put up a 1.4/6 and 7.3 million viewers. “The Kids Are Alright” at 8:30 had a 0.9/4 and 4.7 million viewers. “Black-ish” at 9 got a 0.9/3 and 3.5 million viewers. At 9:30, “Splitting Up Together” received a 0.7/3 and 2.8 million viewers. “The Rookie” at 10 finished primetime with a 0.8/3 and 4.3 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.7/3 and in viewers with 2.6 million. “The Gifted” at 8 had a 0.6/3 and 1.8 million viewers. At 9, “Lethal Weapon” got a 0.7/3 and 3 million viewers.

Univision and The CW tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.5/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.5 million, CW was sixth with 1.4 million.

For CW, “The Flash” at 8 had a 0.6/3 and 1.8 million viewers. At 9, “Black Lightning” got a 0.3/1 and 1.1 million viewers.

Telemundo seventh in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.2 million.
