Ratings: ‘This Is Us’ Grows With Drama, Drama, Drama-Filled Fall Finale

CBS’ annual ”Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer“ airing goes hoof-to-hoof with ”The Voice“

Sorry, Rudolph — it ain’t Christmas yet. NBC topped Tuesday night’s primetime with “The Voice” and its “This Is Us” fall finale. And oh yeah, “Chicago Med” pitched in too.

With its annual re-broadcasting of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and the “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,” CBS finished runner-up on the evening.

Over on The CW, night two of its annual DC Comics crossover continued, handing the youngest-skewing broadcast channel a third-place tie with Fox in the key 18-49 demographic. Without any “Dancing With the Stars” action, ABC settled for a fifth-place tie with Telemundo.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.9 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 9.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. earned a 1.8/7 and 10.5 million viewers. At 9, “This Is Us” scored a 2.7/10 and 10.8 million viewers. At 10, “Chicago Med” received a 1.3/5 and 7.9 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 1.5/6 and in viewers with 6.9 million. “Rudolph” at 8 posted a 1.8/7 and 8 million viewers. Following a rerun, the network’s “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” at 10 had a 1.5/6 and 5 million viewers.

Fox and The CW tied for third in ratings, both with a 0.9/3. Fox was third in total viewers with 3.5 million viewers, The CW was fourth with 2.7 million.

For Fox, “Lethal Weapon” at 8 got a 1.0/4 and 5 million viewers. At 9, “The Mick” managed a 0.8/3 and 2.2 million viewers. At 9:30, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” got a 0.7/2 and 1.7 million viewers.

For The CW, “The Flash” at 8 raced to a 0.9/4 and 2.7 million viewers. At 9, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” landed a 0.9/3 and 2.8 million viewers.

ABC and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.6/2. ABC was fifth in total viewers with 2.5 million, airing all reruns; Telemundo was seventh with 1.5 million.

Univision was seventh in ratings with a 0.5/2 and sixth in viewers with 1.6 million.
