‘The Match:’ Watch Tiger Woods Hole His Chip at 17 to Stay Alive (Video)

$9 million is on the line

Tiger Woods is back — both in golf and contention in “The Match.”

Woods holed out his chip at Hole 17 Friday for birdie, squaring up the match-play contest against Phil Mickelson. The two played a head-to-head round in Las Vegas, with the winner set to pocket $9 million.

Recognize that fist pump? Looks like the old days.

The 17th hole is Shadow Creek’s signature hole. It’s a Par 3, which favors short-iron wiz Mickelson. Didn’t work out that way though.

Woods and Mickelson ended up All Square after 18 holes. It took 22 to get a winner — Black Friday was Phil’s day.

The much-hyped showdown between Mickelson and Woods was supposed to cost golf fanatics $19.99 to watch. It is actually streaming for free on B/R Live, Bleacher Report’s digital destination.
