Tim Curry Suffered Major Stroke Last July, Rep Says

UPDATED: The "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Clue" star is doing well and did not suffer stroke on Thursday, contrary to media reports

UPDATE: A spokesperson for Curry tells TheWrap, the actor did not suffer a stroke Thursday — it actually occured in July of last year.

British stage and screen actor Tim Curry is recovering at his home in Los Angeles after suffering a major stroke on Thursday Night, according to several media reports.

TheWrap contacted Curry's agent for comment, but she has not yet responded.

The 67-year-old star of 1975's "Rocky Horror Picture Show" is said to be "doing great" following the collapse. "He absolutely can speak and is recovering at this time and in great humor," his longtime agent, Marcia Hurwitz, told the paper.

In 2011, Curry had to withdraw from a production of Tom Stoppard‘s "Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead" at the Chichester Festival Theatre, citing severe asthma attacks after a chest infection.
