Tina Fey, Amy Poehler to Host the Golden Globe Awards

The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place Jan. 13

Former "Saturday Night Live" cohorts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are teaming up again — this time to host the Golden Globe Awards.

“Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year’s festivities is a major coup,” NBC Entertainment's president, alternative and late night programming Paul Telegdy said of the choice. “Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in 'Baby Mama.'”

The duo of "SNL" alum take over for Ricky Gervais, whose multiple-year stint as host of the Golden Globes raised eyebrows with what some people considered inappropriate jabs. (And what some considered to be the most worthwhile part of the show.)
