The upcoming DC Universe series “Titans” will stream internationally on Netflix, TheWrap has learned.

“Titans” premieres on the new streaming service on Oct. 12, and will stream all episodes on Netflix in countries outside of the United States at a later date.

The series, which will make its debut at this week’s New York Comic-Con, focuses on a band of soon-to-be superheroes recruited from across the DC Comics universe and led by Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites), a.k.a. the original Robin, who emerges from the shadows some time after quitting as Batman’s sidekick.

The series is based on DC’s long-running young superheroes team “Teen Titans,” which first banded together in 1964 on the pages of DC’s “The Brave and the Bold,” consisting of sidekicks Robin, Aqualad and Kid Flash.

The team got their own eponymous series in 1966 and has been rebooted several times since with a frequently-changing lineup. The DC Uiverse series is based in part on the 1980s incarnation of the team and in addition to Raven and Robin will include Starfire and Beast Boy.

Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter are executive producers for the series, from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
