Crime drama “Rizzoli & Isles,” starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander, will be back for a sixth season, TNT announced on Tuesday.
The series following a detective (Harmon) working with a medical examiner to solve Boston homicide cases will return this summer with 18 episodes.
“Rizzoli & Isles,” produced for TNT by Warner Horizon Television and Bill Haber’s Ostar Productions, finished this past summer as basic cable’s number 1 series, and has ranked as one of basic cable’s top five series for five years in a row.
Haber and showrunner Jan Nash will serve as executive producers for Season 6.
