According to TNT, "Dallas" pushed the network to the number-one spot among basic cable networks Wednesday night with a 3.7 metered-market household rating. TNT also said that the "Dallas" premiere beat out all broadcast programming head-to-head during its 9-to-11 p.m. airtime.

One cloud that hovers over the premiere's ratings victory: It didn't perform particularly well in the 18-49 demographic that's most attractive to advertisers, drawing just 1.9 million viewers in that demo.
The revamped "Dallas," which airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m., includes holdovers such as Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy from the original series, which debuted in 1978, along with newcomers such as Jordana Brewster and Jesse Metcalfe.
