Tom Cruise hasn’t lost that lovin’ feelin’ for the “Top Gun” franchise.
Early Thursday morning, the movie star tweeted out a photo teasing that today (or possibly, yesterday) is (was) #Day1 of production on the long-awaited sequel to his 1986 movie.

The Paramount Pictures movie is slated to take flight on July 12, 2019.
The original action movie — which also starred Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards and Kelly McGillis — followed the exploits of a Naval flight academy and its students. But, in a way, wasn’t it also entirely about buds playing beach volleyball?
