Tomi Lahren Beats Back Her Online Haters With a Bible Quote

We’ve perhaps got a bit of a God complex going on here

Tomi Lahren

Conservative pundit Tomi Lahren has made many headlines recently — including here, on TheWrap — for telling those offended by Donald Trump’s lewd and leaked 2005 conversation with Billy Bush to “shut the hell up.”

Since then, the personality from Glenn Beck‘s the Blaze has been on the receiving end of some heavy social media feedback — some in support, others, well, not so much.

The Trump stumper has a message for all her haters, and it comes directly from Jesus’ lips to John’s pen to Tomi’s smartphone … to God’s ears?

Here’s the “Tomi” host’s tweet from last night:

Lahren had previously (and ironically) ruffled feathers by telling others to not “go around acting holier-than-thou.”

“And don’t try to shame women who still support Trump,” she had added at the time. “No, we aren’t crying in the corner about this, and that doesn’t make us any less woman — so save your pity.”

For a little more context from Lahren’s message, here is the full passage from John 15’s “The Hatred of the World,” per BibleHub.com:

The Hatred of the World
If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first. If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.

Remember the word that I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they kept My word, they will keep yours as well. But they will treat you like this on account of My name, because they do not know the One who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.

Whoever hates Me hates My Father as well. If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have seen and hated both Me and My Father. But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated Me without reason.

When the Advocate comes, whom I will send you from the Father–the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father–He will testify about Me. And you also must testify, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
