Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren rallied to defend an upcoming “Straight Pride Parade” during a Wednesday video essay, blasting its detractors and saying it’s “open season on straight white men” in the United States.

“You can be proud of about everything these days so long as it’s not straight, white, male or God forbid, conservative,” Lahren said, kicking off her segment on Fox Nation, Fox News’ online streaming service.

Lahren said she had “no issue” with LGBTQ celebrations, but found it hypocritical that heterosexuals couldn’t hold their own parades as well.

“Isn’t it funny how the so-called loving and tolerant leftists and members of the LGBT community demand respect for their events and celebrations, but are so quick to diminish, demonize and mock groups they disagree with?” Lahren added.

The parade, tentatively scheduled for Aug. 31 in Boston, according to CNN, has been ridiculed on social media this week. On Wednesday, actor Chris Evans tweeted, “Wow! Cool initiative, fellas!! Just a thought, instead of ‘Straight Pride’ parade, how about this: The ‘desperately trying to bury our own gay thoughts by being homophobic because no one taught us how to access our emotions as children’ parade?” Whatta ya think? Too on the nose??”

Lahren closed her segment asking why it’s “taboo” to be proud of “traditional values” and heterosexuality. “I’m sick of this,” she said.
