Trevor Noah Needles Fox News Hosts’ ‘Suspicious’ Sudden Vacations After They Say ‘Something Offensive’ (Video)

“You never know when the fish are gonna start biting,” the “Daily Show” host says of Tucker Carlson’s sudden vacation

Trevor Noah called into question what he sees as the “suspicious” timing of Fox News hosts going on vacation after they make controversial statements on Tuesday’s “Daily Show.”

“That timing seems suspicious but who knows, maybe lots of people leave for fishing vacations on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m.,” he said, referencing Tucker Carlson’s announcement last week that he’d be taking time off from his show, which suddenly came after his comments calling white supremacy a “hoax” earned significant backlash.

A Fox News spokesperson told TheWrap that Carlson’s vacation was planned well in advance.

Noah pointed out that Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity and Jesse Watters all took vacations after making controversial statements about Parkland survivor David Hogg, murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich, and Ivanka Trump, respectively.

“So almost everyone on Fox has had to go on a surprise vacation after saying something controversial, but there is one vacation on Fox that is the greatest of all time,” Noah said, reminding viewers that during Bill O’Reilly’s sexual harassment scandal, he too said he was going on vacation at the end of one show during 2017.

“And he never returned,” Noah said.
