Trevor Noah Says Team Trump Could Just Apologize to McCain – ‘They Won’t Even Have to Mean It’ (Video)

“If you can’t even tell people to stop leaking without them leaking it, you’re screwed,” ” he says

On Tuesday night’s “The Daily Show,” Trevor Noah dove into the leaked insult a White House aide reportedly made about John McCain, and the problem generally of leaks coming from Trump’s administration — a problem so obvious even Fox & Friends warned Trump that he “cannot trust his own staff.”

The bad news? While “part of me feels bad for the White House,” said Noah, “if you can’t even tell people to stop leaking without them leaking it, you’re screwed.”

Noah noted that neither Trump nor anyone in his administration has apologized for a reported remark that they needn’t care about McCain’s opposition to Trump’s CIA nominee because he is “dying anyway.”

He said the news media makes it “sound like the White House is holding the apology hostage. ‘Day five, no sign of the apology, yet.’”

“It feels like if this goes on for long enough, Quincy Jones is gonna have to make one of those tribute songs to help get the apology out,” Noah added.

“If the White House would just apologize, this story would be dead, and they wouldn’t have to worry about it. They don’t even have to mean it,” Noah continued.
