Triumph the Insult Comic Dog may be at least a day behind in the Anthony Weiner scandal, but he's still the funniest canine hand puppet the entertainment industry has. We welcome his cranky, scatalogical comments anytime.
Riffing this past Saturday at the taping of Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards two days before Weinergate ballooned to include an impromptu press conference at which the married New York congressman admitted to several flirtatious online dalliances with women, the one-time "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" regular said the infamous crotch shot surprised him in many ways.
"I saw the photo and frankly I was shocked," said the cigar-chomping fake pooch, who is voiced by comedian Robert Smigel. "I was shocked to see a democrat with a set of balls."

"Let's see the photo!" continued Triumph, summoning the photo Weiner confessed to sending via Twitter. "There it is, the alleged c—. I think it's got to be his. If it were a republican's, it would have been sent to a dude."
"Listen, if you're going to send a picture of your penis, why would you wear underwear?" the dog further joked. "Let me show you. This is how you send a picture of your penis. Check it out."
And then he unleashed the gratuitious Triumph crotch shot, pictured above.
Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards will air Saturday, June 10, at 9 p.m.
