Triumph the Insult Comic Dog Tells Lewd Joke About Hulu, Duggar Family

TCA 2016: We can think of 19 kids (and counting) who probably didn’t find incestuous molestation quip too funny

Robert Smigel‘s Triumph the Insult Comic Dog just landed one of the bigger laughs at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Summer Press Tour. The chuckles came courtesy of a quip that’s not for everybody — especially TLC executives.

“It is quite an honor to have joined the Hulu team,” Triumph began. “You know, everybody loves Hulu. Time Warner just announced it now owns a piece of Hulu.

“Fox owns Hulu, NBC owns Hulu — even Disney,” the puppet continued. “Yes, Hulu has so many fingers inside it, it could easily be a member of the Duggar Family.”

Smigel — hiding behind a couch for a minute — opened his Friday afternoon panel with a joke of the more inside variety.

“The last time I was here, I referred to the TCA as the “Triple Chin Association,” Triumph said to media members. “That would be less-appropriate today, as [HitFix critic] Alan Sepinwall is not here yet.”

Sorry, Alan. We could all stand to lose a few.

“Triumph’s Summer Election Special 2016” premieres Thursday, Aug. 11 on Hulu.
