Yes, Trump Played Kim a Fake Action Movie Trailer During Summit: ‘Two Leaders, One Destiny’ (Video)

“I showed it to him today, actually during the meeting, toward the end of the meeting and I think he loved it,” POTUS says after summit with North Korean leader

President Donald Trump had an action movie-style trailer made for his meeting with North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, which POTUS showed him on Tuesday.

Fact check this if you want — but it’s true.

“We had it made up. I showed it to him today, actually during the meeting, toward the end of the meeting, and I think he loved it,” Trump said at a news conference, according to the Associated Press.

The four-minute long trailer, shared by the Guardian, shows  images of warplanes and weapons, with a narrator saying, “Seven billion people inhabit planet earth. Of those alive today, only a small number will leave a lasting impact, and only the very few will make decisions or take actions that renew their homeland and change the course of history.”

Trump told reporters he showed Kim the story about “two men, two leaders, one destiny,” to display what they could achieve if they reach an agreement to eliminate North Korea’s nuclear arsenal. Trump said the video was played for around eight members of the country’s delegation and said he “thought they were fascinated by it.”

The video (which the Guardian reports was created by Destiny Productions) was broadcast on big screens at the start of Tuesday’s press conference. Trump said he “showed it because I really want him to do something.”
