President Donald Trump opened up Thursday with fire and fury on Twitter taking a flamethrower to Joe Biden after the former Vice President repeated his musing about wanting to “beat the hell out of” Trump.

“Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy. Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!,” said Trump.

“Remember when they were saying, during the campaign, that Donald Trump is giving great speeches and drawing big crowds, but he is spending much less money and not using social media as well as Crooked Hillary’s large and highly sophisticated staff. Well, not saying that anymore!”

Earlier this week, Biden told college Democrats at the University of Miami that he would never engage with Trump in a debate and not only reiterated his past threats of violence against him, but took a uniquely Trumpian shot at his appearance.

“They asked me if I’d like to debate this gentleman, and I said ‘no.’ I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him,” said Biden. “I’ve been in a lot of locker rooms my whole life. I’m a pretty damn good athlete. Any guy that talked that way was usually the fattest, ugliest S.O.B. in the room.”

The president’s physical prowess is well-known to anyone who remembers that time he beat up WWE chief Vince McMahon at  Wrestlemania XXIII.
