Tucker Carlson Mocks Elizabeth Warren’s Native American Claims: ‘Fauxcohontas Is on the Warpath’

Carlson also called Warren “Fake-ajawea, “Fraud-azuma” and said she was a leader of the “Me Sioux movement”

Tucker Carlson could barely contain himself Monday evening after Elizabeth Warren released “proof” of her Native American ancestry. Carlson — like many conservatives — said the DNA report showing Warren could be something in the neighborhood of 1/1000th Native American was comically insufficient.

The puns came hot an heavy.

“Fauxcohontas is on the warpath,” Carlson said with a smirk. “Well, as it turned out, old Lie-watha couldn’t come up with a single, not one American Indian in her family tree, the rest of the country laughed at her, and rightly so.”

There was also “Fake-ajawea, “Fraud-azuma” and the “Me Sioux movement.”

“What do the test results that she’s produced actually say?” asked Carlson. “According to Warren, she may have had one unnamed and still unidentified Indian ancestors, not necessarily from North America by the way, eight or so generations ago.”

“That could make her less than 1/1000th American Indian,” he continued. “That’s about roughly as American Indian as virtually every white person you’ve ever met which is to say not American Indian at all.”

On Monday, Warren revealed the results of a genetic test showing proof of a Native American ancestor between six and 10 generations in the past. That puts her ancestry anywhere between 1/64 and 1/1024. While the senator may have been hoping to put the issue to bed, the reveal served to fan the flames of the issue.

On Tuesday, the Cherokee Nation (who Warren has at various points claimed connection to) denounced her.

“Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage,” they said in a statement first reported by The Oklahoman.

And President Trump — who has taken to calling Warren “Pocahontas” — said he also rejected the results of her genetic test and in a series of tweets Tuesday suggested that her name for the senator wasn’t going anywhere.

“Pocahontas (the bad version), sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Warren, is getting slammed. She took a bogus DNA test and it showed that she may be 1/1024, far less than the average American. Now Cherokee Nation denies her, ‘DNA test is useless.’ Even they don’t want her. Phony!,” said Trump in a tweet.

“Now that her claims of being of Indian heritage have turned out to be a scam and a lie, Elizabeth Warren should apologize for perpetrating this fraud against the American Public. Harvard called her ‘a person of color’ (amazing con), and would not have taken her otherwise!”
