Tween Time: Fanlala and Kabillion Team for VOD Play

Young adults websites sign deal to create a new tween-targeted video on demand service. Comcast is already on board

Teen and tween targeted websites Fanlala and Kabillion are partnering to distribute Fanlala’s video content via a new video on demand channel.

Dubbed Teen Stars Rule!, the just-launched channel is already available in more than 20 million cable homes via Comcast VOD. Deals are pending with Time Warner cable and other systems.

The deal between the two content providers calls on Fanlala to provide programming for the channel, while collaborating with Kabillion to co-create and jointly finance new programs. Kabillion.com will get access to the content shortly after it bows on VOD and has also agreed to promote the channel with ads on its site.

"Fanlala.com’s top notch teen celebrity programming ties in perfectly with Kabillion’s other brand-name content,” said Rebecca Agbe-Davies, Director of Programming for Kabillion. “We are excited to add names like Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers along-side X-Men, Godzilla, and Rob Dyrdek’s Wild Grinders.”

The new agreement also calls for Kabillion and Fanlala to cross-promote and share content in other ways as well. It was announced by Fanlala.com COO Timothy Golden and Kabillion VP of sales and marketing Deb Pierson.
