Former Politico reporter David Catanese will take his political blog The Run 2016 to U.S. News & World Report.
The blog was established last March to track the comings and going, successes and failures of various White House aspirants. As part of its sale, Catanese will become senior politics writer for U.S. News and will serve as the lead contributor to The Run 2016.

“It was a nice opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” Catanese said in an email to TheWrap. “US News will give The Run backing from a venerable journalism outlet and access to a much wider audience. I’m humbled by the support it built over the past 10 months.”

The sale was a six-figure deal. A spokeswoman for U.S. News did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The new position will require Catanese to relocate from Charleston, South Carolina to D.C.
In addition to his work at Politico, Catanese worked at NBC television affiliates in Missouri and North Dakota.
