Get your s'mores ready: The lakeside battle of the sexes begins Thursday night

USA Network is heading to "Summer Camp" — along with 16 adult competitors — for its new reality series.

The competition, hosted by former "American Idol" finalist Matt Rogers, will feature men and women from all walks of life who "will duke it out in an epic battle of the sexes," according to the network.

Lakeside in California, the contestants will compete in color war events and classic camp games. Each week, the losing team will send two of their members to the other camp, where the winning team selects who goes home, and who camps on.

At the end of the summer, the remaining players will participate in the "Campathalon," where the winning group splits a $250,000 cash prize.

"Summer Camp" is produced by the Emmy award-winning "Big Brother" team of Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan.

The eight-episode run premieres Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
