Ustream Opens Hollywood Office

Video site hopes to further develop live-event coverage business in the entertainment realm

 

 

Online video platform Ustream TV announced the opening of a Hollywood office Tuesday, situating its new digs at intersection of Sunset and Hollywood.
 
Founded in 2007 by three former West Point friends, headquartered in San Francisco, and fueled by more than $11 million in venture capital, Ustream hopes to further exploit the realm of red-carpet premieres and live-celebrity chats by establishing a Los Angeles presence.
 
The company has streamed the red-carpet events for the last two “Twilight” premieres, for example, as well as the Golden Globe Awards.
 
“Building our Los Angeles team is an important next step in the growth ofUstream,” said Brad Hunstable, Ustream founder and president. “By opening our office in Hollywood, we are showing the entertainment community that we are committed to providing direct access and resources for all streaming needs and wants.”
