‘Veep’ Gets Third Term; HBO Renews

New 10-episode season of "Veep" will premiere next year

"Veep" has been elected for a third season.

HBO has renewed the series, which stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, the vice president of the United States.

The cast also includes Tony Hale as Meyer's right-hand man Gary; Anna Chlumsky as chief of staff Amy, and Reid Scott as political aide Dan, among others.

The third season, which will consist of 10 episodes, will premiere next year.

"Veep" premiered its second season April 14. Its most recent episode, on Sunday at 10 p.m., drew 1.3 million total viewers, a high so far this season. Over two plays Sunday, the episode accumulated 1.7 million total viewers.
