‘Veep,’ ‘Silicon Valley’ Renewed on HBO

“Veep” will return for Season 7 while “Silicon Valley” gets a fifth season

HBO has renewed “Veep” for a seventh season and “Silicon Valley” for a fifth season, the premium cable network announced Thursday.

“Silicon Valley,” created by Mike Judge, stars Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Jimmy O. Yang and Suzanne Cryer.

“Veep’s” fifth season was the first without creator and original showrunner Armando Iannucci and is currently airing its sixth season under showrunner David Mandel. The show stars Tony Hale,Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Sufe Bradshaw, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole and Sam Richardson.

Both shows currently air on Sunday nights on HBO.
