Sony Pictures’ “Venom” will be scored by Ludwig Goransson, hot off his score for “Black Panther,” an individual with knowledge of the project tells TheWrap.
Goransson previously teamed with “Venom” director Ruben Fleischer on the film “30 Minutes or Less.”
In addition to “Black Panther,” Goransson has collaborated with Ryan Coogler on “Fruitvale Station” and “Creed.” His work has also been heard on “Community” and “New Girl,” among many other film and television projects.
Goransson is also one-half of Childish Gambino, Donald Glover’s project.
“Venom” is SPE’s next film in Sony’s universe of Marvel characters.
One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen Oct. 3 and stars Oscar-nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
The movie also stars Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze and Reid Scott. Ruben Fleischer directs. Screenplay is by Scott Rosenberg, Jeff Pinkner, Kelly Marcel and Will Beall. It is produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Amy Pascal.
