Hulu’s “Veronica Mars” revival launched last month and already fans are clamoring for more. But whether or not the show gets picked up for what would be its fifth season overall comes down to “logistics,” according Kristen Bell, who plays the mystery drama’s titular sleuth.
“I don’t know, it’s not really how [soon] I would want so much as holes in everyone’s schedules,” the actress told a small group of reporters during the Television Critics Association press tour Thursday, following a panel for the final season of “The Good Place.”
Bell may have some openings on her calendar now that the Mike Schur-created NBC comedy is ending with its upcoming fourth season. But she also noted that there are the schedules of other “Veronica Mars” cast members to consider, as well as that of creator Rob Thomas, who’s she said is at work on multiple pilots.
“It’s kind of like a puzzle you have to put together to find the time frame,” Bell said. “That’s a bad answer, but it’s the truth. It’s all logistics.”
Bell was also asked if the possibility of “Veronica Mars” continuing makes the end of “The Good Place” “a little easier” for her.
“Yeah, it does. Yes,” she said, getting choked up.
